If you want to go to FortWilliam it's not far I would say about twenty minutes by bus, which usually arrives from RoyBridge and stops just a few steps from our Police station and if you get there far too early as we do, then you can pop into the local Hotell bar that's also just a few steps away from the bus stop.
We also have a wee shop 'The Spar', behind the Spar is quite a large car park with public toilets next to that is The Scotish Woollen Mill.
The Scotish Woollen Mill sells stuff like tarten skirts and the kilt also many other things like cashmere cardies, jumpers, coats, trousers, socks, gloves ( it does get quite chilly here ) and other things like whiskey even honey. It's a nice place to sit especially when it rains and have a coffee or a meal if you like. I used to go there a lot when I first came to live here. There's a nice big loom for weaving the tarten on. There used to be a man who did do the weaving but he died ( bless him ) but I expect there will be another person taking his place only this time I heard (the goss) that it was a woman! Yay.
