When I go to Fort William, I like to have a relax in Cobbs at Nevisport. Nevisport is down the stairs and cafe up. I does get busy at times but it's warm and gives you a bit of time to focus on what next to do and it's also a hot spot, they used to have computers there but I'm not so sure now, still you can have your soup ( great when your cold and starving ) and e-mail on your own laptop. I usually give a little donation to them. I just think that's a good thing to do ( just a few pence ).
The toilets are OK. normally but like most places and this is no exception that if it's really busy and there are loads of tourists, the toilets will get swamped out a bit....but hey that's because Fort William is still quite old fashioned in many ways... it wasn't long ago I remember that we had to put some tourists up in the local jail because there wasn't enough B&B's for every one. I thought that was quite nice of our police to do that. Anywhere else would have left them out on the pavement to freeze lol.
We are getting more B&B's now and they even have TVs these days. But you know people come here to get away from the cities and the pollution...and crime is minimal here, its very safe to walk around and I like that...that's why I've lived here for so long , I feel safe here.
The mountains are beautiful and when the light changes it can be stunning!
